Schwerpunktstudium Pflegepädagogik is a specialisation within the part-time master's programme Gesundheits-, Pflege- und Medizinpädagogik (M.A.) at Akkon-Hochschule, taught in German and designed to be studied alongside employment. It qualifies nursing professionals for teaching, counselling and development roles at nursing schools, in adult education and in corporate educational institutions. Students acquire pedagogical and didactic competencies to professionally plan, implement and evaluate learning processes in nursing and health professions, with foundations in public health, epidemiology and nursing science as well as adult learning, subject didactics, media didactics and empirical educational research. The programme also strengthens leadership, team development and nursing-pedagogical counselling skills, and includes a subject internship and master's thesis. Graduates are prepared to design theoretical instruction at nursing schools, develop educational projects and advance the nursing-pedagogy profession.
