Kunst (M.Ed., Kombi) at Bergische Universität Wuppertal is a four-semester Master of Education programme combining the development of students' own artistic positions with a foundational study of art history and art studies. Work takes place in ateliers and workshops for painting, sculpture, graphic arts, photography, film and digital media, complemented by excursions and the planning of students' own art exhibitions. Building on the bachelor's programme Kunst B.A. (Kombi) or the Bachelor of Education with special education focus, it prepares students to teach art at primary schools, secondary schools, Gymnasien and Gesamtschulen, vocational colleges or in special education, with a second subject continued from the bachelor's combination. The programme starts in both winter and summer semesters, is admission-free (no NC), and requires an aptitude assessment process (Eignungsfeststellungsverfahren) in addition to a completed degree.
