The graduates will obtain the ability to partake in analytical research as well as professional work in fields that will be studied in basic scientific and elective subjects during the programme. Their competences will be connected to numerous fields in agriculture and ecology, such as: - genetics and plant breeding, breeding and protection of plants and food from harmful organisms, - biosystems engineering, use of agricultural machines, checking and managing agricultural work processes, - eco farming connected to environmental problems and the development of rural areas, - continual management of grasslands and the production of animal feed in fields, - animal science and the responsible handling of animals, pertaining to all ethic and law regulations. Subject specific competences of graduates, gained on a study programme Access requirements Candidates who completed the following may apply for the 2nd-cycle (master's) study programme in Agriculture: – A 1st-cycle (bachelor’s) study programme in one of the following fields: agriculture (081), veterinary (0841), inter-disciplinary programmes and qualifications involving agriculture, forestry, fisheries and veterinary (0888), or food processing (0721). – A 1st-cycle (bachelor’s) study programme in one of the following fields: biological and related sciences (051), environment (052) chemistry (0531), engineering and engineering trades (071), forestry (082), fisheries (083), medicine (0912), pharmacy (0916), traditional and complementary medicine and therapy (0917), hotel, restaurants and catering (1013), or travel, tourism and leisure (1015).
