Smart Materials and Systems is an English-taught Master of Science programme at Bergische Universität Wuppertal, running four semesters with intakes in both winter and summer semesters and no admission restriction (no NC). The programme immerses students in cutting-edge electronic and photonic materials and their innovative applications, preparing them for the forefront of research on the advanced materials that drive today's smart devices, from wearable technology and communication systems to sensor technology. It provides fundamental knowledge in materials science, electrical engineering and information technology, with three elective specialisation areas closely linked to the university's cutting-edge research: Materials and Fundamentals; Devices, Circuits, and Systems; and Information Systems and Science. International applicants apply via uni-assist by 30 June for the winter semester and 31 December for the summer semester, and the university maintains partnerships with around 220 institutions worldwide.
