The Master's programme in Biodiversity, Evolution and Ecology at Freie Universität Berlin is an English-language Master of Science taught by the Institute of Biology. It provides in-depth subject and methodological knowledge and prepares students for research- and practice-related careers in biodiversity and ecological research. Students learn how to collect, evaluate and interpret data on evolution, ecology and biodiversity in a professional manner and gain a sound understanding of complex ecological and evolutionary processes. Applicants require a first degree in biology or a related natural science with at least 30 credit points in biodiversity, ecology and evolution, including practical laboratory or field experience, English at B2 level and basic German (A1); no tuition fees are charged beyond semester contributions.
